Six to Eight Years

I was good at my letters and didn't have troubles with reversals.
I had developed a good vocabulary since I spent a lot of time around teachers including mom and dad.
I learned to speak correctly since Mom was really picky on using correct grammar.
I still had some trouble paying attention.
The school wanted to test me for the gifted program since I as so smart.
I used my right hand for writing and for most things.
I know my months, days of the week and special holidays.
I can could how many days until my next birthday, etc.
I liked reading.
I wasn't as good at memorizing my math facts.
I would plan lessons for my sisters so I could be the teacher.
I was good at figuring things out if they really interested me.
I really like working on the computer.

Nine to Eleven Years

Interested in reading fictional stories, magazines, and how-to project books

May develop special interest in collections or hobbies

May be very interested in discussing a future career

Fantasizes and daydreams about the future

Capable of understanding concepts without having direct hands-on

Nine to Eleven Years

I continued my love of reading.  We have lots of books at home. 
I liked to start lots of projects but had trouble finishing them.
I found out that I had ADHD and I started taking medication.  It really helped me pay better attention.
I still have trouble spelling and writing complete sentences.
I can get extra help through the resource room.
I like to daydream a lot.  I still think I want to be a teacher like mom and dad.
I learn best from hands-on activities, but I am getting better at all my school work.
I go lots of places with my mom and dad whenever they go to a conference.
