Dear Parent(s)/Guardians:

The school year has started. I hope you and your child have had a fabulous summer. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome your child the 2007-2008 school year! I am the new learning center teacher who will be working with your son/daughter. I’m excited about the opportunity to get to know you, as well, and I’m looking forward to a happy and productive school year.

First and foremost, I have a strong belief in communication. I believe that communication plays an integral part in an outstanding parent – teacher relationship. In order to accomplish this goal, I plan on informing you of any upcoming events by sending out a letters. In addition, I plan on informing you about your child’s performance and accomplishments within the classroom throughout the upcoming school year. In order to inform you about your child’s performance I will be sending home progress reports quarterly and making any necessary phone calls. I also would like an outstanding communication relationship with your child. In order to accomplish this, I plan on letting your child know that I am here for them and they can talk to me about anything they feel necessary.

If you happen to have any questions at anytime, I strongly encourage you to stop in and ask. If you prefer, you may email or give e a call. Remember I am here to assist you in whatever why I can.

My ultimate goal for this school year is to make sure your child learns and participates within all classroom activities to the best of their abilities. I understand that each child is different and has a different way of learning, which means that I will use every technique possible in order to make sure that your child gets the best education possible. I want your child to feel comfortable in my room, in order for them to achieve to the best of their abilities.
